Body Beast Coming in Summer 2012
Say this in your lowest, raspiest baritone voice with a Teutonic accent: Body Beast. Did you scare yourself? If yes, then read no further because this is the name of Beachbody’s (the folks who unleashed P90X and P90X2) latest workout program, and it might not be for you if you’re the nervous waif type. Body Beast is scheduled to be released in “summer 2012.” Some information is starting to trickle down the coach pipeline, and I’m sharing with you everything I know about it.
What Is The Body Beast?
The Body Beast is going to be Beachbody’s first workout program that is specifically designed to maximize muscle growth. If you want to learn how to get a thick, muscular physique, this will be the workout for you. Let’s be clear: Body Beast is not a weight loss program (although it’s supposed to help shred fat). You will gain weight doing this workout. The idea is that the weight will be pure muscle and not fat.
While I’m not necessarily interested in bulking up, the premise behind Body Beast still intrigues me. Up to this point, Beachbody doesn’t have a workout program that is focused solely on muscle gain. While you can get muscle mass doing P90X and P90X2, these programs are more about full body fitness rather than adding bulk. I love these programs because of their emphasis on functional fitness, but I’m always willing to try new things.
The Body Beast, like all BeachBody workout programs, is intended to be done at home. This is the most exciting part. Is it possible to gain pure muscle without weight machines and lots of plates and barbells? I don’t know, but I’d love to put this proposition to the test myself. Body Beast promises to incorporate classic as well as advanced body building techniques that work and produce real results. It is a “clean” program. Meaning, it isn’t about pumping yourself full of steroids. Using crazy expensive gym machines will be optional (while I’m sure you’ll need a decent set of dumbbells). The Body Beast is about gaining muscle mass naturally while working out in front of your TV in the comfort of your living room. Sounds good so far.
Who’s Behind The Body Beast Workout?
The guy behind the Body Beast workout is Sagi Kalev. Judging from the photo, he seems to know what he’s doing. He’s originally from Israel and holds multiple “Mr. Israel” titles and several other titles. He immigrated to the United States in 1993 and has been working as a fitness and bodybuilding model, a personal trainer, and a nutrition counselor. Sagi has a degree in physical education, with a minor in nutrition. He dedicates his life to all things fitness, and works full time as a personal trainer and nutrition counselor.
Sagi has helped hundreds of people prepare to win both national and international competitions including Fitness Model America, MuscleMania®, Model America, the Europa Super Show, NPC Ronnie Coleman Classic, and more. Through the Body Beast, you’ll now get the chance to learn the same techniques that he teaches to hardcore body builders preparing for competitions to carve out your own physique. Build that muscular body you’ve always wanted.
Is The Body Beast Workout Right For You?
The Body Beast workout is for anyone who wants to gain pure muscle mass. From what I read, Sagi and BeachBody have designed the program in a way so that you can jump in without a lot of previous body building experience. They’ve taken the intimidation factor out. You’ll benefit even if you’re just be a beginner who wants to add some muscle mass. The program can also help longterm body builders looking to pick up new techniques. The bottom line is that if you have to desire to build muscle, the Body Beast will be right for you, regardless of your fitness level.
The Body Beast will include a nutrition and eating plan, along with supplements. Beachbody is planning an ultra-premium line of protein powder. Expect a comprehensive program that will teach you everything you need to know to get thick and pumped.
